More than 3,000 HGVs are stolen every year within the UK. Of these, only 12% are ever recovered with the value of goods stolen in excess of £100 million, let alone the lost revenue of having your vehicle out of action and subsequent replacement cost.

There are currently many GPS tracking based systems being sold to the HGV and transportation sector, however, these are hard wired and therefore only monitoring the cab. This leaves the trailer untracked which is often where the value and the interest of thieves are. Criminal gangs know this and have recently started driving their own cabs to remove the untraceable trailer unit with its full load.

mtrack does not rely on any exterior power source and can therefore be located anywhere on the trailer or even the individual goods/pallets themselves. An added function of mtrack is the ability to use a dedicated RF beacon mounted in the cab to talk to the unit mounted within the trailer. As soon as the trailer is unhitched without your authorisation the unit goes into automatic alarm and tracking/recovery process begins.

An additional key fob is available separately, which allows the unit to be alarmed when you are away from your vehicle. Once deactivated, the unit goes out of alarm mode. This is particularly useful if you are regularly using the vehicle and require instant response should it be stolen.
